Ocean of knowledge #1 With so many of us using computers at work and school, computer eye strain has become a common complaint. These problems can cause physical fatigue, decreased productivity and increased numbers of work errors. Here are steps you can take to reduce computer eye strain and the other common symptoms of computer vision syndrome (CVS): Use proper lighting. Eye strain is often caused by excessively bright light either from outdoor sunlight coming in through a window or from harsh interior lighting. When you use a computer, your ambient lighting should be about half that found in most offices. Eliminate exterior light by closing drapes, shades or blinds. Reduce interior lighting by using fewer light bulbs or fluorescent tubes, or use lower intensity bulbs and tubes. If possible, position your monitor so that windows are to the side of it, instead of in front or back. Minimize glare. Local praise

MELC always strives to satisfy our costumers and it is always very rewarding to hear of their experiences with us. We received this testimonial from Mrs Riekert Williams and felt we would like to share it. "I had Lasik done on my eye's yesterday. I cant believe that I walked in with -2.50 R and -2.75 L, walked out a couple of hours later with clear vision. It was not painful at all and I experienced no irritation. Muscat Eye and Laser Center even phoned me in the evening to see how I am doing. I received the best treatment ever, they are friendly, to the point, and very professional. I went for my follow up today, and removed my Laser glasses that I had to wear for 24 hours, and now my vision is even better. Thanks Dr Maria for sorting my eyes out, and for your good service and friendly staff." - Azelene Riekert Williams- See the original testimonial HERE
