Muscat Eye Laser staff embrace pledge to uphold customer standards

Evoking the spirit of the Hippocratic Oath that binds physicians to a code of professional ethics, Muscat Eye Laser Center has introduced a unique pledge that commits staff to raising the bar on customer service standards.
The ‘Happy Eyes Customer Service Oath’ enjoins every member of Muscat Eye Laser Center’s staff to the delivery of superior services to customers. Employees solemnly pledge to embrace a code of conduct that places customer satisfaction at the very heart of the Center’s corporate philosophy.
The oath, a novel initiative by Muscat Eye Laser Center to engender high standards of service delivery amongst employees, is the brainchild of Mr. Sameer Al Awam, its Chief Executive Officer.
“The Happy Eyes Customer Service Oath is neither a gimmick, nor a meaningless mission statement, but a reflection of our profound desire to put customer satisfaction and service standards at the very core of our business. Our goal is to make the pursuit of quality standards and customer satisfaction a collective and enduring objective,” Sameer explained.
The oath commits every employee to a covenant that seeks to safeguard and build on the enormous customer loyalty generated by Muscat Eye Laser Center as the Sultanate’s leading provider of specialist eye-care services. Staff firmly pledges to treat every customer with warmth, sensitivity and understanding, in much the way one would treat one’s own parents and elders. Furthermore, it exhorts employees to be proactive in addressing any deficiencies in the delivery of top quality services to customers.

Muscat Eye Laser embraces new innovations in corneal transplant surgery

10 December 2011, Muscat: Muscat Eye Laser Center, the Sultanate’s leading eye-care clinic, is combining technological advances in corneal transplantation surgery, cutting-edge surgical techniques and superior in-house expertise to dramatically improve the quality of life for patients with corneal pathology. Until recently, the procedure of choice for most patients with severe diseased or damaged corneas was to undergo a full-thickness corneal transplant (also known as a penetrating keratoplasty), in which the entire cornea is replaced, even if only a portion of the cornea is diseased. While this procedure is still being carried out at Muscat Eye Laser Center for those who have severely damaged cornea, ophthalmologists at the Center have also mastered new innovative procedures that allow for the removal and replacement of only the affected layer of the corneal tissue. The upshot, says Dr. Juan G. Graviria, Scientific Director, is that patients now enjoy better outcomes, faster r...

Heartfelt letter from one of our Doctors

Have you wondered what it's like to work at Muscat Eye Laser Center?   On today's blog Dr. Dita Sekito tells us how her arrival was at Muscat Eye Laser Center and what she saw about the clinic that made her stay much longer that what she had planned.    “It was in the year 2006 that I had the opportunity to work abroad. I had this offer to work as a General Ophthalmologist in Oman. During that time, I did not even know where Oman is and that there was a country called Oman. I came for the interview unprepared and I was even not properly attired. The first thing that struck me was that the person who was going to interview me was the owner himself. The man I met was Mr. Sameer Al Awam. Little did I know that this person I met would play a great role for the next years of my life. The interview went well and in the afternoon Dr. Maria who is the medical director interviewed me. Right away after the interview, I searched the internet about Oman, Muscat Eye Las...
